In this episode, The Front Page Podcast commemorates the 2021 National Championship game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide. First, Jake Jennings, assistant sports editor talks about his article on Stetson Bennett's decision to switch to a using a flip phone during the 2021-2022 football season. Then, Drew Hubbard, sports editor, speaks about his article on the legacy of the Bulldog national championship appearances and the relationship between the 1980 and 2021 teams. 

SEC Championship Preview

This week, we will discuss our December 2 SEC Championship Preview. First, we will speak with Jack Duffey, a sports desk beat reporter, about his article on the matchup between the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game to be played on December 4, 2021. 
Secondly, we speak with Katherine Lewis, assistant sports editor, about the standout players on the Georgia football team who have set up the bulldogs up for success in the post season. 

New ride-share program; Seasonal sustainability

In this episode, we discuss our November 18th issue. First, Caitlin Farmer, a contributor to the news desk, talks about her article on the new UGA ride-share program.
Secondly, Emma Griffin, a contributor to the opinion desk, expresses the importance of sustainability this time of year and how to implement these habits into everyday practices. 

The effect the return to campus has brought to student mental health

On this weeks episode, we talk with Caitlin Farmer, a news contributor, about her article on the increase in UGA students seeking mental health support this semester.
Lilly Kersh, a contributor to the culture desk, is also featured to discuss her article on UGA Affirmations, a popular meme account that has emerged as a means of connection and relatability between students. 

Athens Pride and UGA Theater‘s ‘Rent’

In this weeks episode, we discuss the November 11th paper. First, Nimra Ahmad, the culture editor, sheds light on Athens Pride Week.
Nava Rawls, assistant special publications editor, discusses the UGA Theater performance of Rent the Musical on opening night. 

Georgia-Florida Rivalry Edition

In this week's episode, we sit down to speak in-depth about the rivalry between the University of Georgia and the University of Florida. First, with an interview from sports editor, Drew Hubbard, we examine the discrepancy between the number of times the teams have played the annual game. Secondly, assistant culture editor, Martina Essert discusses another rivalry tradition, Frat Beach, and its fashion history. 

May 10: Ramadan as a UGA student; Athens music nonprofit

To end the semester, we hear from a University of Georgia student celebrating Ramadan, and we hear about an Athens music education nonprofit.
Dania Kalaji, news contributor and outreach manager, discusses her experience celebrating Ramadan at UGA. Business reporter Mikaela Cohen talks about an Athens couple who give students music lessons. Digital producer Sarah Detwiler hosts.

April 22: Earth Day and G-Day

This month's print issue focused on the dual themes of Georgia football and sustainability, in honor of G-Day and Earth Day, respectively. April 17 was G-Day, and April 22 is Earth Day.
We hear from sports contributor Katherine Lewis about the time football played their G-Day scrimmage at Clarke Central High School. In sustainability, we hear from special publications senior editor, Anna Thomas, about the threat to native bee populations. We also hear from contributor Nathalee Simoneau about food insecurity in Athens and at UGA. Digital producer Sarah Detwiler hosts.

April 16: Reflecting on the Atlanta spa shootings, one month later

Our editor in chief, Sherry Liang, reflects on the March 16 Atlanta spa shootings, when a white man killed eight people, six of whom were Asian women.
Liang talks with Red & Black alumna Rachel Priest, who is now a content editor at the Bitter Southerner. Priest wrote a column about the shootings called "A Target on Our Backs." Liang and Priest are two of the few Asian editors to work at The Red & Black.

April 1: Reflecting on UGA club hockey’s missed season

Excluding tournaments, the University of Georgia club hockey team had 31 games on its 2020-21 schedule. All but an April 6 matchup with Auburn have been canceled. Senior Kyle Harris added he’s “99% sure it’s not going to happen.”
